Training camp has begun and while most of the news has been positive, the dreaded injury bug has begun to hit every team around the NFL. While the Cincinnati Bengals have largely avoided major issues to this point, there still have been some instances of great concern.

On this week’s episode of The Orange and black Insider, we had some very special guests. Giving us a great look into Bengals training camp, James Rapien of ESPN Cincinnati graciously joined us, relaying some of his first-hand observations from the 2017 practices. He shared some of the most impressive players of camp were, as well as how the valuable young players appear to be performing on the precipice of big 2017 roles.

Scott Schulze and I also had an interesting discussion with Mark Powell, a Bengals fan who penned “Legends of the Jungle: Introducing the initial candidates for a possible Cincinnati Bengals’ Hall of Fame”. He spoke to us about a number of subjects. Aside from the extensive research he put into the book, he also had some interesting takes on how the Bengals’ First 50 players list played out earlier this summer.

Scott and I also talked about the growing concern with some recently CTE findings, as well as answered a couple of listener questions. Join us every week here at Cincy Jungle and on YouTube on our live episodes. A big thanks to James and Mark for joining us on a very interesting episode.
