Last week all 12 Cincy Jungle contributors picked the Cincinnati Bengals to win their home opener. That didn’t work out too well. Neither did the unanimous selections of the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots. Eleven of the 12 contributors also selected the Texans to defeat the Jaguars. The one person who selected the Jaguars, Kyle, led the week with an 11-4 record. Overall, the standing for Week 1 are:
- Kyle 11-4
- Scott 9-6
- Patrick Judis 9-6
- Dadio 9-6
- Jason 9-6
- Anthony 9-6
- Mason 8-7
- Alberto 8-7
- John A 8-7
- Braden 7-8
- Andrew 7-8
- John S 6-9
In Week 2, Kyle looks to hold onto his 2 game lead, while John S looks to climb out of the lonely cellar. John made one pick against the grain with the Giants over the Lions, so he could either gain a game on the rest of us or fall even farther behind.

Following a dismal 20-0 defeat, the Bengals were not unamious favorites this week, but still saw a lot of support, with two contributors picking against them. But there were plenty of unanimous favorites, including the Patriots, who disappointed all of us in our selections last week.
- Buccaneers over Bears
- Panthers over Bills
- Patriots over Saints
- Raiders over Jets
- Seahawks over 49ers
- Detroit over Giants
Looking at the teams who could upset, the Bears seem like the best candidate, who came close to defeating the defending NFC champion Falcons last week, and have a winnable matchup against the Buccaneers. The Bills won last week simply because they played the Jets, but could pose a challenge to the Panthers. The Saints have the unenviable task of trying to defeat a motivated Patriots team looking to avoid an 0-2 start. The Jets and 49ers probably offer the least chance to bring an upset this weekend.
