UPDATE
Shawn Williams was dealing with cramps and has since returned to the game. However, George Iloka remains out.
The Cincinnati Bengals have fought valiantly against the Green Bay Packers in Week 3, but they may have to finish the game without both starting safeties.
Early in the fourth quarter of this game, George Iloka was forced from the game due to a hamstring injury. His returned was later announced as questionable by the team.
Not long after Iloka went out, Shawn Williams went down with an undisclosed injury. He was seen lying on the field after a 2nd-down play. After being examined by trainers, Williams walked to the sideline under his own power.
Not having one or both safeties would be a huge loss to this defense. The good thing is neither injury looked too serious, so if one or both guys don’t come back in this game, they’ll hopefully be back sooner rather than later.
We will update this story as more details become available.
