Steelers trade Cockrell to Giants
The Steelers traded cornerback Ross Cockrell to the New York Giants in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Cockrell spent the last two seasons with the Steelers, starting all 16 games in 2016. He finished the season with 62 tackles, 14 pass defenses and a fumble recovery. Cockrell played in 15 games in 2015, starting seven, and had 44 tackles, two interceptions and 11 pass defenses. He also had one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Sammie Coates, Pick Traded to Browns from Steelers for 2018 6th-Round Draft Pick
The Cleveland Browns reached an agreement Saturday to acquire wide receiver Sammie Coates and a seventh-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cleveland announced the deal, in which it sent back to Pittsburgh the 2018 sixth-round choice the Browns acquired from the Steelers for cornerback Justin Gilbert last September.

After 4:00 pm ET on Sunday, Canady will likely be moved to the I.R. which will allow him to be eligible to return later in the year, and it will give Baltimore an extra spot on the active roster.

Brock Osweiler Will Sign with Broncos After Release from Browns
Quarterback Brock Osweiler has reportedly found his new team—and it just happens to be his old one. Denver Broncos general manager John Elway said the Broncos will sign Osweiler pending a physical on Monday, per Mike Klis of 9News. Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot initially reported the team's plans to sign Osweiler.
Andrew Luck Removed from PUP List by Colts Ahead of Regular Season
The Indianapolis Colts announced they have removed quarterback Andrew Luck from the physically unable to perform list Saturday as expected. Had Luck remained on the PUP beyond Saturday's 4 p.m. ET cutdown deadline for 53-man rosters, he would have been ineligible to play for the first six weeks of the 2017 season.
Jacoby Brissett Traded to Colts from Patriots for Phillip Dorsett
With Andrew Luck's status still uncertain for Week 1, the Indianapolis Colts added some insurance at quarterback by acquiring Jacoby Brissett from the New England Patriots for wide receiver Phillip Dorsett on Saturday. The Patriots confirmed the deal after ESPN's Field Yates broke the news.
T.J. Ward Released by Broncos After 3 Seasons with Team
In somewhat of a surprising move, the Denver Broncos released would-be starting safety T.J. Ward on Saturday prior to the 4 p.m. ET deadline to get rosters down to 53 men. Troy Renck of Denver7 spoke to Ward, who confirmed his release. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network first reported the move.
