Bengals vs. Steelers: Madden simulation predicts a Cincinnati victory

There have been times in the past couple of years where both the Bengals and Steelers had high-powered offenses all year and then struggled to score on each other.

It’s still yet to be seen whether or not that is how the game will work out on Sunday. The thing that I want most of all in this game, other than a Bengals win of course, is for both teams to play clean and come away with no injuries or as few as possible.

So, how does Madden predict this game will play out? Let’s take to our Week 6 Bengals vs. Steelers game simulation to find out.

The Bengals start off with the ball and get a good drive going, but they end up stalling out around the fifty. Then the Steelers and the Bengals each alternate going three and out until the Bengals get the ball back with around two minutes left in the first. They drive down the field and score a touchdown on a screen pass to Giovani Bernard.

The Bengals take the lead 7-0.

The Steelers get the ball and slowly start marching down the field grinding away at the Bengals. When they get inside the 30 yard line their drive ends up stalling and they have to take the field goal. Making the score 7-3.

The Bengals then get the ball and immediately go three and out giving the Steelers the ball back. The Steelers drive down the field and score on a pass to JuJu Smith-Schuster. After making the extra point the Steelers have the lead 10-7.

The Steelers get the ball after half, but quickly go three and out giving the Bengals the ball back. The Bengals march down the field successfully until a sack slows their progress inside the 30-yard line and they are forced to take the field goal. Randy Bullock drains the kick tying the game up at 10-10.

After this both teams fail to get much going until the final three minutes when the Bengals get the ball and hit on a deep shot to Tyler Boyd. The Steelers hold them from getting another first down and the Bengals are forced to take the lead with a field goal giving the Steelers the ball back with a minute left and a 13-10 lead.

The Steelers get down the field and manage to spike the ball with sixteen seconds left on the 39 yard line. Instead of risking not being able to get out of bounds the Steelers try the kick and it ends up short. The Bengals get the ball back and simply kneel out the hard fought 13-10 win.
