Bengals defense decimated by injuries vs. Steelers

Plenty of starters on the Bengals defense have been banged up this game.

With little help from their offense, the Bengals defense has held their own, despite suffering a multitude of injuries.

All in the fourth quarter: Defensive end Carlos Dunlap suffered an ankle injury, and cornerbacks William Jackson and Dre Kirkpatrick each briefly left the game with injuries of their own.

This all happened after the team lost both Shawn Williams and Darqueze Dennard for the game with a concussion and shoulder injury respectively.

All three players returned to the game, but the onslaught of injuries have really hurt the Bengals defense getting off the field. Several backups have played significant snaps due to the injuries the unit has suffered.

Now the defense has a one-point lead to protect with just over a minute to play. Hopefully their health prevails.
