The Bengals have a chance to beat the Bucs and go 5-3 into the bye week.

The Bengals are enduring a two-game losing streak, but they’ve got a great chance to end it in Week 8.

After back-to-back losses to the Steelers and Chiefs, Cincinnati will be back home next Sunday to host the Buccaneers. While they enter this week with a 3-3 record, they’ve lost three of their last four games with the lone win being an overtime home escape from the Browns.

Tampa Bay is also 1-2 on the season and have just two road wins over the last two seasons. That’s a big reason why the Bengals are already a six-point home favorite in Week 8.

The Bengals may be coming off an embarrassing 45-10 loss against the Chiefs, but this home matchup with the Buccaneers is still one of the most winnable games left on the schedule. Some will argue it’s the most winnable game left, so they really need to come out and perform well to get their season back on track.

If the Bengals hold serve and beat Tampa Bay, they’ll be 5-3 going into the bye week. If you would have said that before the regular season, just about every Bengals fan would have taken it.
