The Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced their inactive players for today’s Week 8 matchup at Paul Brown Stadium.
For the Bengals, here are the inactive players who will miss today’s game:
- LB Vontaze Burfict
- RB Giovani Bernard
- LB Nick Vigil
- WR John Ross
- OL Billy Price
- CB Darqeuze Dennard
- TE Tyler Kroft
Six of these players were already ruled out, and Billy Price was listed as doubtful, so there are no surprises here. The biggest loss is Vontaze Burfict, who is out with a hip injury; it’s unclear how long he’ll be sidelined, but Dave Lapham says his absence could extend past the bye week.
The bye week is coming up next, so all of these guys will get extra time to rest and recover before facing the Saints in Week 10.
One notable piece of news that came out is Alex Erickson is expected to start as the slot receiver.
For the Buccaneers, here are their inactives for today:
- G Alex Cappa
- DE Vinny Curry
- QB Ryan Griffin
- DE Demone Harris
- OL Michael Liedtke
- DT Gerald McCoy
- RB Shaun Wilson
The Buccaneers had already ruled out star defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, which is a huge loss for their defense. With . pass-rusher Vinny Curry also being out, the Bengals’ struggling offensive line is catching a big break today with those losses.
