Bengals WR A.J. Green has a good chance of playing vs. Browns, per report

The Bengals could be getting a big boost to their offense with A.J. Green inching closer toward a return.

After missing Green for the last two games — both of which were losses — Green could make his return in Week 12 vs. the Browns, according to ESPN reporter Josina Anderson.

Green hurt his foot late in the team’s Week 8 win against the Buccaneers, and he ultimately missed a Week 10 loss to the Saints after being ruled out on Friday.

However, Green made some progress this week, enough that he was listed as doubtful to play before being declared inactive prior to the 24-21 loss to the Ravens.

Similar to his rookie teammate Billy Price, Green’s foot injury was initially thought to be no big deal. As it turned out, Price would go on to miss six games. The timeline of Green’s injury has progressed only negatively thus far, but it sounds like he could end up missing just three weeks after the Bengals had their bye following his injury.

It’s still unclear how severe the injury was to Green’s toe, but it’s been enough to keep him sidelined during a two-game losing streak that has put Cincinnati’s playoff hopes on life support.

Thankfully, the Bengals have four very winnable games coming up vs. the Browns (twice), Raiders and Broncos. Having Green could be the difference in going 4-0 in that stretch, which could be enough to push them into the final Wild Card spot in the AFC.
