Bengals vs Browns: Madden predicts a nail-biter at Paul Brown Stadium

New, comments

We simulated the Bengals vs Browns in Madden to try and predict the outcome of Sunday’s game.

Bengals vs Browns highlights

The Bengals suffered a big blow to their playoff hopes when they lost to the Ravens this past weekend. Now they are looking to get back on track against a Browns team that is still struggling to find its footing. If they can get this win, they will stay right in the middle of the playoff hunt; but a loss here would put them in a tough spot to climb out of to make a run for January.

Now, let’s take a look at the Bengals vs. Browns Madden simulation to try and predict how this game will turn out.

The Bengals start with the ball, but aren’t able to get much going. The Browns are able to get a decent drive going, but end up having to punt, pinning the Bengals inside the ten. The Bengals start a good long drive down the field and when they get almost to the red zone on first down, Andy Dalton hits C.J. Uzomah in the corner of the end zone for the touchdown.

7-0, Bengals

After that neither team is able to get much going offensively for awhile. The Browns receive the Bengals punt with just under two minutes left. They drive down the field and their series stalls out and they are forced to take the field goal. Bengals run once after receiving the kickoff and we go into halftime.

After the half, the Browns receive the ball, but end up having to punt. The Bengals receive the punt and drive to about the fifty before their drive also stalls out due to a third down sack by Myles Garrett. The Browns receive the ball and get a good drive going. On 3rd and long inside the red zone Baker Mayfield finds David Njoku who runs it in for a touchdown.

The Bengals receive the kickoff from the Browns and HE COULD GO ALL THE WAY! Darius Phillips takes the kickoff all the way after breaking out of a Browns tackle.

Darius Phillips return touchdown

14-10, Bengals

After the return touchdown both teams struggle to get much going offensively. After a punt the Browns get a good return to about the 25-yard line. They get a first down to the 11-yard line and then on first-and-10 the Browns offensive line opens Nick Chubb a huge hole and he is able to run it in for an easy touchdown.

The Bengals get the ball back with under two minutes left and begin to drive down the field. They get inside the ten and with under 20 seconds left on third down Andy Dalton hits Joe Mixon for the touchdown to take the lead.

21-17, Bengals

The Browns get the ball back, but don’t have enough time to do anything and fall to the Bengals 21-17.
