Bengals OT Jake Fisher suffers back injury, ruled out vs. Browns

Jake Fisher leaves the game after replacing the injured Cordy Glenn as the hits keep coming.

Bengals offensive tackle Jake Fisher was finally introduced to the starting lineup in Week 12. Unfortunately it didn’t last long as he suffered a back injury and was declared out by the team prior to halftime against the Browns.

Fisher was replacing Cordy Glenn at left tackle who was inactive for the game due to an injury of his own. Fisher was then replaced by Cedric Ogbuehi as the Bengals are running out of options at the position. It is hard to tell when exactly the injury occurred during the Bengals getting run off their home field by the Browns as there was no injury stoppage. It did happen early on though.

Fisher was the Bengals’ second round pick in 2015, and he has been relegated to backup duty this year. Fisher missed extended time last year needing heart surgery. Fortunately this injury is unrelated to that.

The Bengals already lost Andy Dalton and Tony McRae to injury, too.

We will update this story as more details come in.
