New, comment

The Bengals defenses has been one of the worst units in the NFL, but if they could become even an average unit, we could see big changes in how competitive this team is.

Before Brees, Bengals' Anderson Completed History

Hobson's Choice: Stretching For A Run

They've also closed out some tough games they might not have closed out before. However, it certainly teeters between the above average/average grade when their defense comes into consideration. The defense gave up a last-minute touchdown to the Steelers and has given up at least 480 yards in each of the past three games. That's a big problem. Grade: Above average

Bengals: NFL's top-rated passer next
The Saints are the sixth top 9 scoring offense the Bengals will face to this point, and Brees is the NFL’s current leading passer with a 120.6 rating. They enter the game on a seven-game winning streak, having just beaten the last remaining undefeated team in the NFL, the L.A. Rams, 45-35.
