Bengals at Browns injury report: Joe Mixon has multiple injuries

Not ideal.

The Bengals were still missing several key players as they hit the practice field on Thursday.

Among the players not working were wide receiver Tyler Boyd, who has an MCL sprain and is highly unlikely to play this week. The fact he’s not been placed on injured reserve already with just two games left suggests he ‘could’ play in Week 17, but even that seems unlikely.

The big news Thursday was running back Joe Mixon was limited again, this time with a thigh injury in addition to the wrist injury he had Wednesday. Seeing him unable to get in a full session while battling multiple injuries is not ideal, so it will be interesting to see how Friday goes for him.

Dre Kirkpatrick popped up as a limited participant with an ankle injury. Alex Redmond returned to get in a full practice as he battles an illness.

Vontaze Burfict remained limited with his concussion, so it’s no sure thing he plays Sunday. Cordy Glenn is still limited with his back injury after playing this past week following his absence.

Jordan Evans remained out with his ankle injury and is unlikely to play Sunday, which is an even bigger loss if Burfict can’t go.

The Browns upgraded tight end David Njoku and cornerback Phillip Gaines from limited both were full participants today.

Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi returned after missing yesterday and was limited, while safety Jabrill Peppers was sidelined with a neck injury for the first time this week.
