Update: Vontaze Burfict declared OUT for the remainder of the game.
Vontaze Burfict’s back to being Vontaze Burfict again, as of he ever stopped.
Just before halftime, the Browns were driving down the field against the Bengals and looking for their third score of the game. Following the two-minute warning, Burfict appeared to suffer what seems like his 20th injury of the season and had to leave the field. Upon doing so, Burfict was being consoled by athletic trainer Paul Sparling and Burfict aggressively swpies away Sparling’s comforting hand.

Burfict was kneeling on the sideline to rest his injury and then was seen running off to the locker room. He’s now been declared OUT.
Burfict’s conduct here is unacceptable, especially with the reputation he’s garnered over the years. Never has he been seen treating a staff member of the Bengals like this; and what’s worse is that head coach Marvin Lewis will probably still defend him if asked about the incident.
This may be the last time Burfict sees the field this year, and that’s probably a good thing for all parties involved.
