The Bengals fell to the Browns 26-18 in Cleveland. Cincinnati ended up giving Cleveland a slight scare in the fourth quarter, but ultimately failed to overcome Baker Mayfield and the Browns’ offense, while the Bengals couldn’t get out of their own way for the first 55 minutes. The loss all but ensures the Bengals will finish with the the worst record in the AFC North.
Here are some instant reactions to the loss:
The Bengals fall to 6-9 and will officially have a losing season after their 26-18 loss to the Browns.

mike brown and his family aren’t okay with getting swept by the browns
— john sheeran (@John__Sheeran) December 23, 2018
but they aren’t willing to take the risks for the sake of progress
this is all i know, and it yields absolutely nothing at all
I can only hope you got Browns -6 to start the week.

Updated Baker Mayfield against the Bengals this season: 46-63, 542 yards, seven touchdowns, no INTs, 73 percent comp, 8.6 yards per attempt.

Their onside kick attempt against the Chargers was so terrible maybe they figured it wasn't worth the effort https://t.co/Y9AE5j3eZb

IT'S OFFICIAL: This is the first year ever that the Reds and Bengals are both finishing in last place in their respective divisions: https://t.co/ih0pAicz30

In among all the gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands, congratulations to Joe Mixon on getting to 1,000 yards this season. A great achievement, all things considered.

The last time the Bengals lost 2 to the Browns, the head coach was fired. Just throwing that out there.

If the @Bengals what to keep this fan base, they need to start making big changes ASAP. #Cincinnati #firemarvin #hireaGM

Educational Thread: I get everything that surrounds Burfict & his antics. BUT when you have a concussion, you ARE NO LONGER CLEAR thinking. Literally reacting on instincts & possibly with no logically reasoning. For me, I would not even remember up to 10 hours AFTER I had them.. https://t.co/8Cc8yzBvVt

Asked Carlos Dunlap about his confidence in Marvin Lewis returning:

"I don't know. A lot of things happen. I have confidence in the football team." @fox19 #Bengals pic.twitter.com/8hlIerKGRH
The last time the #Bengals were swept by the Browns (2002) Michael Jordan was wrapping up his final season in the NBA with the Washington Wizards.

Asked Marvin if he's concerned about Burfict's future after 7th concussion, the most recent 2 of which came in a three-week span. His response: "You're not a doctor."#Bengals

Hue Jackson w/ Browns: 40 games, 3 wins
— Scott Barrett (@ScottBarrettDFB) December 23, 2018
Browns post-Hue Jackson: 7 games, 5 wins
2018 Bengals w/ Hue Jackson: 6 games, 1 win
2018 Bengals pre-Hue Jackson: 9 games, 5 wins
Listening to Tim McGee on @700wlw. "I know for a fact Hue (Jackson) is the reason Baker Mayfield is in Cleveland. He fought hard to draft him. Baker Mayfield was not management's No. 1 choice. They wanted (Sajuon)... https://t.co/46rciwgpR1

Apathy.
— Jake Ryle (@JakeWCPO) December 23, 2018
That’s the one emotion that I can think of with this #Bengals team. I simply haven’t cared all season. I know I can’t be alone.
I can't believe the @Bengals just got swept by the Cleveland Browns. First time since 2002. Marvin and Hue and all the coaches need pink slips for Christmas. The players and the fans deserve better than this.

For all of those hoping for that change up top there is some bad news...
So I did some math: Since 1994, 10 NFL head coaches with 3-straight losing seasons have kept their job. If Marvin Lewis is not fired, he will be the 3rd Bengals coach under Mike Brown to keep their job after 3-straight losing seasons. #Bengals
