The Bengals have clinched a last-place finish in the AFC North, which means we know now who the team’s 2019 opponents will be.
Next year, the Bengals are set to host the last-place AFC South team, which are the Jaguars, who are currently 5-10 and four games behind the third-place team.
The Benglas are also set to play on the road against the last-place AFC West team, which will be the Raiders. They are 4-11 and two games behind third place in their own division.
It’s safe to think that the Bengals catch a break playing the Jaguars and Raiders next year, being that they’re both in a transition phase and have a lot of work to do to become playoff threats next year.
We already knew who the rest of the Bengals’ 2019 opponents were, as they’ll face the entire AFC East and NFC West. That means Cincinnati will face the Patriots, Rams and Seahawks next year, which will be a very challenging slate of games.
Here is what the 2019 slate looks like for the Bengals:
- New England Patriots
- New York Jets
- Arizona Cardinals
- San Francisco 49ers
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- Baltimore Ravens (Div.)
- Pittsburgh Steelers (Div.)
- Cleveland Browns (Div.)
