Bengals WR Cody Core leaves Steelers game with ugly injury

Cody Core suffers an injury to his arm, which will likely keep him out the rest of the game.

It didn’t take long for the Bengals to lose another player to a major injury.

In their matchup with the Steelers, Cody Core exited the game late in the first quarter. It was an absolutely brutal looking injury for Core, who has been thrust into the starting lineup due to injuries to guys like A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd already.

Core’s injury came as he landed very ugly on a catch that was broken up on the sideline. It is hard to imagine with the way that he went down that he will be able to return to this game.

The Bengals will likely have to rely on John Ross and Alex Erickson as the top two receivers. The team will also have to work in Auden Tate and Josh Malone more after barely playing at all the past two days.

Cincinnati has had to endure a crazy amount of injuries, and it really is crazy to imagine what this offense looked like during Week 1 and what it looks like now. It is a brutal end to this season for Core who will finish with just 13 receptions on the season.

We will update this story when we have more details.
