Bengals OT Andre Smith comes in for Cordy Glenn vs. Steelers

Glenn left the game with an injury.

The Bengals finally benched Alex Redmond at right guard for Christian Westerman to start the second half, but they were forced to make another change on the offensive line.

Cordy Glenn suffered an ankle injury at the start of the third quarter and Andre Smith replaced him off the bench. Glenn is questionable to return.

Smith was signed off in November after he was waived by the Cardinals, and was activated over Cedric Ogbuehi the first week he was with the team. Smith is the swing tackle and the team clearly trusts him more than Ogbuehi at this point. Ogbuehi is inactive today, so the Bengals were never going to let him play no matter what happened, which makes you wonder why they bothered keeping him this long.

Glenn’s injury comes at a bad time as the Steelers’ defense has been pressuring Jeff Driskel all game long. Hopefully he can return before the game concludes.
