Vegas views Bengals as one of NFL’s two worst teams one week into free agency

The Bengals’ Super Bowl odds are as bad as I remember seeing them in the last seven years.

The Bengalsodds of winning Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta have taken a steep downward dive since the day after Super Bowl 52.

Bovada has released its updated odds on Super Bowl 53 and Bengals fans will likely be disappointed by what they see. The Bengals went from having 66/1 odds of winning the Lombardi Trophy to now having 90/1 odds following the start of the new league year and free agency.

I’m not sure I quite understand that as the Bengals have seemingly improved since the end of last season. The team has a new left tackle in Cordy Glenn, a starting-caliber linebacker in Preston Brown and a healthy and re-signed tight end in Tyler Eifert. The only bad thing to really happen to the team so far this year is the news of Vontaze Burfict’s four-game PED-related suspension, which he is appealing. Though, Marvin Lewis inexplicably doesn’t think that will hold back the team. You could also say Lewis’ return to the Bengals as head coach is a bad thing, but that had already been announced prior to Bovada’s odds being released on February 5, 2018.

This is just the opinion of Vegas, but, Vegas doesn’t often get too much wrong.

Here are a scattering of other odds Bovada has released, which includes an over/under for yards former Bengals quarterback (and now Bills quarterback) AJ McCarron will pass for and touchdowns he will throw in 2018.
