Podcast: Why the Bengals should help, not replace, Andy Dalton in the NFL Draft
The Bengals are a bizarre team to examine when it comes to the first round of the NFL draft this year. They decided against rebooting the coaching staff and brought back Marvin Lewis despite another poor season in 2017. They have a lot of former first-round picks on both sides of the ball, but we're not sure they're great at anything.
Could the Bengals continue aggressiveness in the draft
When talking about the “aggressiveness” of a team, the term can mean different things depending on the team. Considering the Cincinnati Bengals are normally very conservative and quiet in the free agency period, this has been a pretty aggressive offseason so far for the club. For other teams, it might not warrant the aggressive title.
Recreating the Bengals 2015 offensive success
The Cincinnati Bengals had a well balanced attacking offense in 2015 that had quarterback Andy Dalton in the run for MVP until he injured his hand with only three weeks left in the season. With weapons like wide receivers A.J. Green, Mohamed Sanu, and Marvin Jones it proved difficult for defenses to slow down the Bengals offense. Then you add in tight end Tyler Eifert who had a career season with 615 yards and 13 touchdowns which added to the firepower of the Cincinnati offense.

Todd McShay's three-round mock for the Bengals
The NFL Draft is just over two weeks away and we continue the mock drafts trying to predict who the Cincinnati Bengals will take at the 21st overall pick. Most mock drafts cover the first round but ESPN’s Todd McShay went ahead and put together a full three round mock draft. There are absolutely some interesting choices in this mock draft so let’s take a look at what he has the Bengals taking with their four picks in the first three rounds of this year’s draft.
TDBH: Lewis’ first practices get their attention
For a team where the players always seemed so comfortable despite the losing, the Paul Brown Stadium Spa and Health Club is officially closed. Nearly three months to the day of the watershed announcement bringing him to Cincinnati, Marvin Lewis runs his first two practices today as Bengals head coach while the winds of change keep blowing across the Paul Brown Stadium prairie at tornadic force. Right tackle Willie Anderson, the elder statesman who saw his team in near revolt at the end of last year’s 2-14 season, praises his bosses for getting the right man.
Bengals seeking draft crashers
More than veterans like 49ers safety Eric Reid are touring Paul Brown Stadium these days. ‘Tis the season of the kids and the Bengals have until April 18 to interview and examine 30 prospective rookies in their building. With the NFL Draft starting two weeks from Thursday, the Bengals seem to be putting the veteran free-agents on the backburner and are focusing on the visiting prospects. And there will be the usual suspects that are to be plucked on the first two nights in the first three rounds.
