The Bengals have selected Ohio State center Billy Price in Round 1 of the 2018 NFL Draft.
The pick is not a surprise and though there was tons of Frank Ragnow hype in the last few days, I do believe Price was the Bengals’ No. 1 choice among the center prospects.
The Bengals fell in love with Price prior to his NFL Scouting Combine pectoral injury, but the team did not let the injury detour them from selecting the Ohio State center. Price’s doctor has said he will be medically cleared by June and ready for training camp in late July.
NFL teams are being notified today that Ohio State OL Billy Price, who suffered an incomplete pec tear at the combine, is expected to be ready for training camp in July without restriction, per his doctor’s letter. pic.twitter.com/vYqmNlkUgu

Price played an impressive 55 straight games at OSU and has experience at guard in addition to center. Prior to the combine, he had been injury-free in college.
Are you a fan of this pick for Cincinnati? With Ragnow off-the-board, the Bengals knew they still needed a center and went after Price. The Bengals didn’t want to take a chance on waiting until Round 2 to fill their biggest need and the hope is Price is the long-term answer at the position for Cincinnati. It’s unfortunate it’s another injured player but I’m confident he’ll be healthy soon.
Also, I LOVE THIS QUOTE, SO SO SO MUCH!
Price: When phone rang I was like holy shit, it's Cincinnati. This is exactly what I wanted, to stay in Ohio and bring the Ohio State brand to Cincinnati. #Bengals
