Undrafted Free Agency: Bengals signing USF quarterback Quinton Flowers

The Bengals may have plans outside of the quarterback position for the former USF signal caller.

After drafting Logan Woodside in the seventh round, the Bengals have added another college quarterback in Quinton Flowers from South Florida.

The Bengals have shown great interest in Flowers, but not as a quarterback. At his pro day, the team talked to him and expressed their interest in him as an offensive weapon, whether that is a running back or receiver. Both running backs coach Kyle Caskey and wide receivers coach Robert Bicknell were at USF’s pro day scouting Flowers.

You won’t find a lot of quarterbacks at 5’10”, but Flowers is a dangerous weapon with the ball in his hands, and the Bengals seem to want to utilize that at least in training camp and the preseason.
