In case you didn’t know already, Ben Roethlisberger is not the easiest guy to get along with.
That also apparently isn’t limited to grown adults, as even sixth-grade children have had to endure Big Ben’s antics.
In this case, it was TJ McConnell a point guard for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA. McConnell is actually a Pittsburgh native, and he apparently got to meet Ben in the sixth grade.
It also apparently went very badly, so much that McConnell started rooting for the Bengals, he said Tuesday in an interview with The Dan Patrick Show.
"I respect him as a player, but he wasn't exactly the nicest guy." -

Sixers guard T.J. McConnell says that he had a less than pleasant experience with hometown hero Ben Roethlisberger in 6th grade. T.J. was so mad he started rooting for the Bengals.
McConnell later admitted he’s gone back to being a Steelers fan. Still, to think someone who grew up in Pennsylvania and chose to root for the Bengals, albeit briefly, over the likes of the Eagles and Steelers really speaks to how much McConnell disliked Ben.
But you already knew Ben was a jerk. At least the Bengals gained an extra fan because of it.
