Recapping the final day of Bengals minicamp and injury updates

The Bengals are officially on summer break following the final day of mandatory minicamp in Cincinnati.

The Bengals are done with OTAs and mandatory minicamp and things are about to get quiet in Cincinnati for the next month and a half. Training camp begins on July 26 and until then players will not be required to be at the stadium nor in Cincinnati.

Thursday was the final day of minicamp and it seems there were some good developments — specifically for John Ross — as well as some big-time former players in attendance.

Anthony Munoz, Tim Krumrie and Max Montoya were at practice, which took place inside Paul Brown Stadium on the new turf field.

Tyler Eifert once again did not practice, but he was present.

Ross is catching passes! Let’s all cheer for that.

Tyler Kroft, T.J. Johnson, Tra Carson, Justin Murray, Darius Phillips and Devonte Boyd are all dealing with injuries, but are also all expected to be healthy by training camp. None of their injuries have been revealed as the team has no need to do that at this point in the year.

It was a beautiful day in Cincinnati!

ROSS TOUCHDOWN! You can totally see it in this picture...

Auden Tate has been turning some heads. He’s not all that fast, but he’s a big-body receiver who could come in handy. He’ll need to really impress to make the roster though.

If you ask him, he doesn’t need to be fast though.

Some of the veterans didn’t participate in drills, leaving the work to the young guys. That included A.J. Green, Brandon LaFell and Vontaze Burfict.

C.J. Uzomah is a big soccer fan, and will be rooting for Belgium in the World Cup.

This is awesome news!

Ross already opened up about his relationship with Marvin Lewis this offseason and continued to discuss Lewis on Thursday.

Fast and fun are great adjectives that I hope the Bengals’ offense lives up to.

Joe Mixon won’t be taking any off time, despite heading home to California.

Mixon is also holding a youth camp on Saturday in California, which will also be attended by Marshawn Lynch, who has inspired him to give back.

Sam Hubbard made a nice play on Thursday, which is great to hear, too.

And, that’s all! We’ll have to wait for July 26 for further on-the-field updates from the Bengals.
