Vegas gives Bengals slim odds of making the NFL playoffs

A familiar theme this offseason of the Bengals not being given much of a shot to do anything next season.

Oddsmakers have been giving the Bengals very little respect this offseason. That continued with the latest odds to make the 2018 NFL playoffs by Bet Online.

As you can imagine, the Bengals are near the bottom, as only seven teams have worse odds to make the playoffs. That includes the Browns, who have the worst playoff odds in the AFC North (+600) while the Steelers lead the way (-550), followed by the Ravens (+135).

The Bengals have rarely had such poor odds to make the playoffs ever since A.J. Green and Andy Dalton helped guide Cincinnati to the first of five-straight playoffs in 2011 as rookies. However, the Bengals have endured back-to-back losing seasons for the first time since 2007-08, so it’s fair that experts and oddsmakers alike aren’t high on this team entering 2018.

Ironically, the Bengals made the playoffs after their last back-to-back losing stretch, so hopefully, they’ll do so again by making the postseason this year.
