NFL Preseason Week 3 and college football Saturday

A loaded day of preseason football is on deck, along with the return of college football, sort of.

The first loaded Saturday football slate is taking place today as seven NFL preseason games kick off, while Week 0 of the college football season begins.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Week 0 is when a handful of small schools clash on the final Saturday of August, serving as an appetizer for the real return of college football next week.

But in reality, most of us are going to be watching Week 3 of the preseason, which gives us the best glimpse of what’s going to take place when the regular season begins.

Prairie View at Rice, 7 p.m., ESPN+

Jacksonville State vs. North Carolina A&T, 7 p.m., ESPN

Hawaii at Colorado State, 7:30 p.m., CBSSN
