Reactions to the Bengals’ 26-13 win over the Bills

New, comments

The Bengals’ starters put on a show against the Bill’ starters in the first half of Sunday’s preseason matchup. Here are some fast thoughts and fan opinions following the game.

The preseason has featured a lot of sloppy football across the NFL but the Bengals’ starters looked largely dominant against the Bills in the third week of preseason action.

Andy Dalton completed passes to John Ross (including a 57-yard touchdown), A.J. Green (including a 14-yard touchdown), Tyler Boyd, Joe Mixon and Tyler Eifert as part of a 180 yard, two touchdown day that earned him a passer rating of 145.8. On defense, Geno Atkins, Carl Lawson and Andrew Billings imposed their will, all notching sacks and making life hard for rookie quarterback Josh Allen.

The Bengals won the game 26-13, 20 points of which came from the first-team offense’s efforts.

So, what did fans think of the Bengals’ third preseason win in three weeks? Well, it offered a lot to be excited about (holy pass rush!) and surely some things for Cincinnati to work on this week (run blocking, anyone?).

Here are some (mostly fan-driven) thoughts following the game, which are dominated by the offensive line play. Be sure to leave your comments on the Bengals vs. Bills preseason action below!
