The Cincinnati Bengals are holding their breath after Joe Mixon was sent to the locker room for the second time in Thursday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
His first injury happened midway through the first quarter, as Mixon was seen heading to the locker room as Cincinnati went on the field for its third offensive possession.
The team announced Mixon was probable to return with a knee injury. While Mixon was out for the possession, Giovani Bernard was the main running back, but the Bengals’ passing game carried the offense down the field before A.J. Green reached the end zone to put Cincinnati up 14-0.
Then in the third quarter, Mixon exited the game again and was questionable to return, again with a knee injury. This is not good news for the Bengals running back. Bernard is the lead back with Mixon out.
Update: Mixon returned again in the fourth quarter, but was clearly hurting.
