The Bengals suffered a big injury late in their clash with the Ravens.
With the game winding down, Dre Kirkpatrick went down along the Baltimore sideline after pulling up lame in coverage. He had to lay down and be examined by trainers before gingerly heading to the locker room. He was holding his hamstring.
Hopefully, it’s nothing more than cramps. The fact that it was a leg issue and the training staff let him walk on it unassisted suggest it was a cramp. But if he’s out for any time, the Bengals will be down to William Jackson, Darqueze Dennard, Tony McRae and Darius Phillips at cornerback. They do have Keivarae Russell on the practice squad, so he would probably get a call up if it’s a multi-week injury for Kirkpatrick.
As the saying goes, next man up.
We will keep you posted if any more details on the injury come out.
