The Cincinnati Bengals and Carolina Panthers have announced their inactives for today’s matchup.

Both sides came into today with key players already ruled out, but there were some key game-time calls for both teams as well.

Here is a look at the Bengals inactive players for Week 3:

  • OL Cedric Ogbuehi
  • WR Auden Tate
  • LB Preston Brown
  • OL Billy Price
  • RB Joe Mixon
  • DE Michael Johnson
  • RB Thomas Rawls

The biggest question mark was with Preston Brown, who is still battling an ankle injury, which he suffered in Week 1 against the Colts. He is inactive today, which is a bit of a surprise, and it’s a major loss for an already-thin linebacker group.

Michael Johnson is out due to his knee injury, which was expected. Jordan Willis will start in his place.

On the other side, here is a look at the Panthers’ inactives today:

  • WR Curtis Samuel
  • WR Damiere Byrd
  • TE Greg Olsen
  • G Trai Turner
  • LB Andre Smith
  • Lorenzo Doss
  • Marquis Haynes

Most of these guys had already been ruled out prior to today’s game due to injuries, including Trai Turner, who’s developed into one of the NFL’s better guards. Tight end Greg Olsen also remains out with his foot injury; he’s not expected to return soon. That’s a big loss for a Carolina offense that already struggles to throw the ball. On the flip side, it’s good news for the Bengals who struggle mightily against tight ends.
