Prior to last week’s loss, the Bengals had won four straight games dating back to last season, as it appeared Marvin Lewis had gotten his team back on track. A win in Atlanta would ensure that remains the case, as it would put the Bengals at 3-1 and atop the AFC North going into a big two-game home stretch against the 3-0 Dolphins and 1-1-1 Steelers.
The next three weeks will go a long way in determining how successful the 2018 Bengals will be, and that starts with a big road test in Atlanta. The Falcons need a win just to stay afloat in an NFC South, where they sit in last place entering Week 4.
