I joined Matthew and Mikey on ESPN Radio Lexington this week to talk about the Bengals in the lead up to Week 1. We discussed my 10-6 prediction for the team and why I feel the Bengals can actually get to double digit wins this year.
We also talked about the team’s health — everyone but Cody Core should be good to go on Sunday. Plus, we discussed team morale, rookies on the Bengals’ roster and Jessie Bates stepping into a massive role starting in Week 1.
We went back to my conversation with Bates after the draft where he said his goal was to pick off Ben Roethlisberger, which he’ll get a chance to do in Week 6 for the first time as the Bengals take on the Steelers in Cincinnati.
Bates will be starting this week at safety for the Bengals as he returns to his home state of Indiana and he’s expecting about 50-60 friends and family members at the game. It’s sure to be a big one for the rookie out of Wake Forest.
Thanks to Matthew and Mikey for having me on! Be sure to check out their show!
