The Cincinnati Bengals have decided who they want their next head coach to be.
According to multiple media reports, Cincinnati plans to hire Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor. Of course, the hire cannot become official until the Rams’ season is over, so we could be a few weeks away from the hire becoming official.
As you can imagine, Twitter was buzzing following news that Taylor is on to Cincinnati. Here is a roundup of the best reactions from around the internet.
Can you feel it? Change is in the air! Who's excited? https://t.co/uq45RDV0t0

I, for one, am thrilled to pieceshttps://t.co/i6lrnZQy0W

Whether or not he's successful, we'll have to wait and see. But change was needed and it's almost officially here!

Bengals fans, a bit on Zac Taylor from our Sept 26 @gmfb — https://t.co/XU68iTipkV

By hiring Zac Taylor, Bengals will go from a 60 yr old with one of the most old school approaches to a 35 year old QB coach in tune with the hottest brand of football right now.

Bold, and it might not work, but you gotta admire the Brown family for trying something new.
The only way for the Bengals franchise (with the way it is run) to win anything substantial is to win the lottery at QB and/or HC.

Hiring Zac Taylor is a buying a lottery ticket.
Even if you don’t like the hire, at least it’s not Hue Jackson.
It’s not Hue Jackson

And of course, there will be plenty of talk on how Taylor is the first coach from the Sean McVay coaching tree to land a head-coaching job.
Mike Brown: “so why are you qualified to be our HC?”
— _mk (@mkij21) January 10, 2019
Zac Taylor: “i watched Sean McVay coach a few games”
Brown: “you’re hired” https://t.co/WSpWli5NbU
He's also worked with Sean Mcvay. Why look any further on the resume lol

Then there’s the fact that Cincinnati picked Taylor over Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who many thought was the favorite for the job.
Disagree. Bieniemy is the man
— David Pray (@davidpray) January 10, 2019
No!!! I want Bienemy. Taylor is not qualified.
— NatiBuck513 (@NatiBuck513) January 10, 2019
Bittersweet because I had already fallen in love with Bienemy, exciting nonetheless

He wasn’t so hot during his last tenure in the Queen City.

I’m not ecstatic, Joe. He wasn’t a great OC for Miami and the Bearcats...
