The Bengals will be with their fans watching these games from home, but this is still some of the last meaningful football we will have for a very very long time.
Among the four teams remaining, Cincinnati will have their eyes locked on the Los Angeles Rams the most when they take on the New Orleans Saints in the NFL Championship. Rams’ quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor is the Bengals’ unofficial head coach in waiting, and fans will get to continue rooting for Bengals legend and current Rams’ left tackle Andrew Whitworth to make his first Super Bowl appearance 13 years into his illustrious career.
After that game concludes, the AFC Championship featuring the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs could see a changing of the guard in AFC powers. Tom Brady’s struggles have been perhaps overstated, but there is no denying that Patrick Mahomes looks like he could be the future of this league in only his first season as the starting quarterback.
It should be a great afternoon for football as four of the best teams in the NFL will be battling it out for the opportunity to play in the Super Bowl.
