You’d be hard-pressed to find a Bengals player who played harder than Joe Mixon did Monday Night.
In a 27-3 to the Steelers in which seemingly every aspect of the Bengals was an abject failure, Mixon managed to muster up 62 yards on 15 carries, That 4.1 ypc was his highest average of the season, despite playing behind an offensive line that did everything it could to get Mixon destroyed.
But it was a blitz pickup that was Mixon’s best play of the night, as he annihilated a Steelers DB who was coming in hard on a blitz. Mixon made sure he didn’t make it to Andy Dalton:

It’s unfortunate Mixon’s teammates didn’t bring the same intensity he did, especially when it came to his blockers. Hopefully this helps inspire his teammates to put in a better effort at home vs. the Cardinals in Week 4.
At this point, we can only hope.
