In case you needed a reminder, the Bengals are not going to trade A.J. Green.
While their will undoubtedly be trade rumors until the NFL Trade Deadline passes, the Bengals aren’t trading their Pro Bowl receiver, something Zac Taylor re-emphasized on Thursday.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport added that the franchise has the same stance:
This has been the stance internally: That AJ Green isn’t going anywhere. #Bengals coach Zac Taylor says it publicly and clearly. https://t.co/NvfxGoAeTT

A big part of why the Bengals won’t trade Green is because he is a golden goose that puts butts in the seats at Paul Brown Stadium, even when the team is bad.
Another reason why Green won’t be dealt is simply because the Bengals don’t trade good players. Time and time again, owner Mike Brown and the front office have made it clear they’d rather lose players in free agency than trade them for something in a contract year.
The Bengals will do their best to re-sign Green, but if it doesn’t work out, they’ll eventually just let him walk away. But they won’t deal him, even if Green told them he’s not re-signing, which he hasn’t, so that’s a moot point anyhow.
