The Bengals fought to make the game look closer than it was yet again. They didn’t manage to pull out a win, but they find themselves that much closer to a high pick in the draft (if you’re into that sort of thing).
Needless to say twitter had a field day. Here are some of the best reactions from throughout the day.
The best start possible
This week started off with Brandon Wilson returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown. This gave us fans a slight bit of confidence, but unfortunately the Bengals couldn’t keep up that momentum.
#Bengals broke the longest drought in the NFL for kickoff returns for TD. Last one was Bernard Scott vs Pittsburgh in 2009.— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) October 13, 2019

Can Brandon Wilson also play offensive line?— Josh Kirkendall (@Josh_Kirkendall) October 13, 2019
CBS with the switcheroo
One of the funniest and brightest moments from Sunday had to be CBS mistakenly showing a different old white man on TV and confusing him for the Bengals’ owner Mike Brown.
CBS thinking all these old, white male owners look alike. definitely NOT Mike Brown.— Keenan Singleton (@KJMSingleton) October 13, 2019

One last gasp before the bad
There is plenty of negative reactions. Before we get to that, we have to talk about the spike heard around the world (or by a half empty stadium).
that Dalton spike is about as close as you'll get Andy to cursing/criticizing this team.— Keenan Singleton (@KJMSingleton) October 13, 2019
Dalton runs it in for a TD. Spikes the ball with more emotion than we usually see from him.— JG (@JoeGoodberry) October 13, 2019

Hey, we scored!
Andy Dalton spiked that ball has hard as he possibly could after a garbage time TD. Ravens 23, Bengals 17, 1:28 left in the game.— Ben Baby (@Ben_Baby) October 13, 2019
The reality sets in
The fact is this is an 0-6 team that is a stone throw away from a top pick. You can blame so many things for the losses, but there is no changing the numbers in the win and loss columns. No amount of optimism is turning this season around to the point where this team ends up playing for something that matters. Let every fan get through 2019 however they see fit, and lets all hope 2020 is better.

Last but not least, the GIFs
Lets all try to get a chuckle out of the Bengals loss. Here are some of the best GIF reactions to the loss this week.
