Well, it looks like A.J. Green won’t make his return in Week 7 after all.
Coming into the week, the Bengals were hoping to get Green back to fully practicing and able to play Sunday vs. the Jaguars. But after not practicing Wednesday, Green said he won’t go Thursday either.
Green says won’t practice today. No need to rush this thing. Don’t want to rush it like I did toe

A.J. Green (ankle) says he still has “a little ways to go.” I don’t expect him to play Week 7 #Bengals

Green managed to get in two limited practice sessions last week before being ruled out vs. the Ravens, the sixth game he’s missed this season following ankle surgery in training camp. The fact he practiced lightly last week but isn’t this week is a bit worrisome.
Did he suffer a setback? Did Green and the medical staff realize he’s not as far along as they had hoped? Are the Bengals just holding him out to have a better chance of tanking?
Who knows at this point what the real story is. All we know is he’s now unlikely to play in Week 7, and I wouldn’t get my hopes up on seeing him vs. the Rams in Week 8 either.
