Cincinnati will officially be without at least six players, five of them being regular starters. On offense, it was plausible that A.J. Green (ankle) would make his long-awaited debut this week, but after not practicing all week, that will have to wait another week or two.
Offensive lineman Andre Smith (ankle) and John Miller (groin) will also be sitting out this week after missing practice all week. John Jerry and newly-acquired Fred Johnson will be the starter and backup at left tackle while Smith misses his second-consecutive game. Miller is likely going to be out until after the team’s bye week in two weeks and Alex Redmond will get the first chance to fill in for him at right guard.
Glenn is listed as out, but with him being suspended, he won’t be counting against the 53-man roster for this weekend.
The defensive line will get back Ryan Glasgow (thigh) this week but will continue to not have Carlos Dunlap (knee) for the second straight week. Dunlap is listed as doubtful, but head coach Zac Taylor doesn’t expect him to play. With Carl Lawson (hamstring) also out this week, Andrew Brown likely gets the start at defensive end with Anthony Zettel, who was signed on Wednesday, backing up him and Sam Hubbard.
In the secondary, William Jackson III (shoulder) and Dre Kirkpatrick (knee) will each miss the next few games after both suffered injuries last week against the Ravens. Darqueze Dennard (knee) is set to return to the field to compensate for the loss of both Jackson and Kirkpatrick, but they’ll just four healthy cornerbacks for this game.
For the Jaguars, there weren’t any Friday surprises, as tight end Geoff Swain and wide receiver Marqise Lee were both ruled out. Wide receiver Dede Westbrook is questionable after getting in a limited session today. Everyone else is good to go for the Jaguars.
