The Orange and Black Insider Bengals podcast: 10/23 livestream

This week, we look at the Bengals’ quarterback situation, ranging from the starters, the backup options and coveted rookies in the draft. Which are the best options and what about the team employing a 2011-like draft strategy? We also welcome in Joe McAtee from SB Nation’s Turf Show Times Rams site to preview Week 8 in London.

Though the Bengals have yet to win a game in 2019, Week 8 provides a bit more excitement than many other games on the schedule. Not only is the team being featured abroad in London, but Zac Taylor faces off against his old employers in the Los Angeles Rams.

On this week’s Orange and Black Insider, we welcome in Joe McAtee from SB Nation’s Turf Show Times to preview the game. Tonight’s show theme largely revolves around quarterbacks, so we’ll be interested to hear his take on Jared Goff, the Rams’ system and his thoughts on Taylor’s long-term viability as an NFL head coach.

Speaking of signal-callers, Andy Dalton had a rough week once again last Sunday. Is it time for the team to look at the options on the bench? And, we’ve been asked quite a bit about our thoughts on the 2020 rookie quarterbacks, but might the team be best-suited to employ the strategy that built a team that went to five straight postseason berths next offseason?
