The Bengals fell to 0-5 against a winless Cardinals team (that is no longer winless). Cincinnati waited until extremely late in the game to make things interesting, but at that point, it was too late. Still, we will start off with the fun stuff before we surround ourselves with misery.
Don’t miss our GIFs of the week to see how people are trying to get through this rough time with a little humor.
Close but no cigar
The Bengals fought their way back to tie the game in thrilling fashion, but unfortunately they weren’t able to finish the game off.
Here is a look at some of the reactions from the Bengals roaring comeback.
Bengals break the streak! 1st TD in 7 quarters of football was a Dalton to Tate strike. #Bengals 23-16
— Elise Jesse (@Elise_JesseWLWT) October 6, 2019
Correction: The Bengals went 19 drives between TDs.

And Andy Dalton drops a play action bomb on the money to Tyler Boyd for a TD. We are a Bullock PAT attempt away from a tie game. Wow.
— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) October 6, 2019
Bengals players aren't quitting, that's for sure.

Give Zac and Andy Credit there. Crunch time and they performed at a high level. #Bengals

Too little too late
The Bengals defense couldn’t hold any longer after the game was finally tied. The Cardinals drove right down the field and kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired. The loss dropped the Bengals to 0-5.
good for kyler. he earned all of that.

I'll definitely give them credit for fighting back.

Cruel, cruel Sunday.

Premature dread
Nothing compared to the outcry of frustration late in the third and early in the fourth quarter. Cincinnati’s offense couldn’t find its way into the endzone, and the defense kept letting Arizona downfield. Fans were seen leaving the field early, and at that point it was hard to blame them.

So for those keeping up at home, the Bengals are down to their fourth-string tackle and are without three of their best wide receivers.

The #Bengals are 7 minutes away from 0-5. “Get the h*** off the field” is what I just heard from a fan as the boos rain down here. This is bad... pic.twitter.com/tlvJaN4mXB

he's made his share of mistakes but damn, Zac Taylor has coached two homes games at PBS and he's been booed twice. booing the wrong guy.
— Keenan Singleton (@KJMSingleton) October 6, 2019
A chorus of boos ringing out at Paul Brown Stadium after a checkdown on third and long. Bengals set to punt again.
— Ben Baby (@Ben_Baby) October 6, 2019
“i don’t get booing”

*throws 15 yards short of the sticks on 3rd down
Bengals have been credited with one QB hurry today. Cardinals had given up the most sacks in the NFL coming into today.

Tweet of the day
The best tweet of the day is an easy choice. The Bengals’ own Twitter account sums up how pretty much every fan feels as the team falls to 0-5.
