Bengals at Raiders: Odds, expert picks and predictions

Surprisingly, getting blown out at home doesn’t help you in the eyes of experts and oddsmakers.

The Bengals are once again huge underdogs going into their game on Sunday. This week they are matched up with a Raiders team that is fighting to stay in the playoff race.

It has just become a matter of how much of an underdog the Bengals are. Until they pull off a win, or they miraculously look like a different team, it is hard to imagine the oddsmakers or experts feeling good about them

Odds

The Bengals are currently 11.5-point underdogs to Raiders, according to Bovada. This isn’t surprising as it seems A.J. Green won’t be suiting up again this week, the Bengals are on the road and Ryan Finley didn’t have the most confidence boosting performance last week. This line also makes it pretty tempting to take Cincinnati to help even out the money.

Expert predictions

  • Fox Sports is predicting a 33.5 to 19.4 loss for the Bengals
  • All nine of ESPN’s analysts are taking the Raiders
  • CBS Sports had all eight of their experts take Oakland
  • Only Toby the Good Dog took the Bengals. None of SB Nations experts picked the Bengals
  • NFL Pick Watch, which takes into account picks from experts across the web, has the Raiders receiving 100 percent of the picks.

It’s Hard to believe having your defense get absolutely turned around for a full game, and having your rookie quarterback not do any better than the veteran you benched doesn’t build any confidence from the experts.

No one took the Bengals last week, and there is no reason for anyone to have anymore belief in them this week. As Bengals fans we are openly rooting for the underdog to pull of an upset the rest of the way.
