Cornerback/kick returner Darius Phillips has been cleared to practice, even though he won’t be able to be activated until Week 12.
While he mainly contributed to the return game before his injury, the secondary is wearing thin enough, and since Brandon Wilson is one of the league’s leading kick returners, he might get a shot at playing some cornerback against the Jets in a couple weeks.
Two of the veterans taking rest days, Darqueze Dennard, and Tyler Eifert, were back at practice on Thursday as well. Geno Atkins took one more day on Thursday.
Billy Price returned to practice (back) was a full participant on Thursday, but practiced with the second team at center.
Shawn Williams (wrist) was also full participant. A.J. Green (ankle) and Drew Sample (ankle) remained out.
Two wide receivers, Stanley Morgan (illness) and Auden Tate (concussion) missed their second straight practice.

The Steelers have three players in concussion protocol after their game against the Browns last Thursday night. JuJu Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, and Olasunkanmi Adeniyi suffered concussions, though Smith-Schuster did not practice and is the only one who was not a full participant.
Benny Snell Jr. (knee) was a full participant, which is good news for the Steelers because James Conner (shoulder) did not participate.
Nick Vannett (illness), Vance McDonald (NIR), Mark Baron (NIR), and Bud Dupree (tricep) were all full participants on Thursday.
Artie Burns (knee) remained limited.
On the offensive line Ramon Foster (NIR) was added to the injury report and did not practice. Maurkice Pouncey did not practice due to a two-game suspension.
