The Bengals may have lost another close game to the Browns last week, but don’t worry Cincinnati fans, your team gets to try and bounce back at home against an extremely angry New England Patriots team coming in off a two-game losing streak.

Okay, so the Bengals’ chances may be slim this week, but this is a great chance for Cincinnati to have a litmus test against one of the better teams and franchises in the NFL. We have seen a far better Bengals product on the field since the bye week, but how far have they really come?

Cincinnati’s defense hasn’t given up more than 20 points since the bye week, and that will surely be put to test against a Patriots’ offense that is still led by Tom Brady at quarterback. New England’s offense has been stuck in a rut for two weeks, but this is still very much a team that would blowout this defense of the past two seasons.

Offensively, the Bengals’ running game has really gotten going after having one of the worst start to the seasons in NFL history. They will be facing a dominant Patriots’ defense that allows the fourth fewest rushing yards per game. Can Joe Mixon continue his late season tear against New England?
