Without A.J. Green for the 15th time this season, the Bengals will at least have their next most talented offensive player when facing the Dolphins.
Joe Mixon was a full participant during Friday’s practice in Cincinnati after being limited yesterday with a calf injury. Mixon hasn’t missed a game all season and he won’t miss this week’s game either.
The blocking for Mixon may be a little rougher along the right side. John Miller (concussion) has been declared out and is still in the concussion protocol after not practicing all this week. In Miller’s place, Billy Price is the obvious choice to fill in for him at right guard, which could also lead to John Jerry being active as a reserve along the interior for the first time in a few weeks.
Michael Jordan (neck) went full today like he did yesterday after not practicing on Wednesday; as did Darius Phillips (illness) who missed the last two practices. Phillips hasn’t been much of a contributor on defense since his activation from the Reserve/Injured list, and after not practicing much this week, that shouldn’t be expected to change.
The Dolphins didn’t declare any of their players out for Sunday’s game, but did list five of them as questionable. FB Chandler Cox (shoulder), DT Zach Sieler (hip), K Jason Saunders (illness), Evan Boehm (ankle), and Taco Charlton (ankle) will all be game-time decisions. Boehm and Charlton were late additions to the injury report after being limited during today’s practice.
