On Tuesday, the Cincinnati Bengals waived linebacker Sharif Finch due to a failed physical.
Finch, a second-year player, had been acquired on waivers from the Tennessee Titans on Monday. He was signed to occupy the spot left by A.J. Green, who was placed on injured reserve. That means the Bengals have a spot to fill on their 53-man roster before taking on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
After the Bengals watched Miami sign Samaje Perine from their practice squad, perhaps they’ll opt to call up on their remaining practice squad players so they don’t get poached before the season ends.
