Two days before the Cincinnati Bengals close their season out, they made one final addition to their Reserve/Injured list.
The Bengals today placed CB William Jackson III on I.R. and subsequently signed TE Jordan Franks and WR Trenton Irwin from the practice squad to the active roster.
Last week, Jackson, a fourth-year player, suffered a right shoulder injury against the Miami Dolphins. He had played in 14 games this season, playing through a shoulder injury he originally suffered in October. He recorded 37 tackles, an interception and three passes defensed this season.
Franks, a second-year player out of the University of Central Florida, originally was a college free agent signee of the Bengals in 2018. He had spent all 15 games this season on Cincinnati’s practice squad. As a rookie in 2018, he played in six games, and had two catches for 37 yards.
Irwin, a rookie out of Stanford University, originally was a college free agent signee of the Miami Dolphins in May. He was waived by the Dolphins at final cuts, and then signed to the Bengals’ practice squad back in early October.
Prior to these moves today, Cincinnati had one open roster spot, created when LB Sharif Finch was waived (failed physical) on Tuesday. This sets the roster for their last game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
