Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed today that A.J. Green (ankle) will not make his debut this week against the Browns. Green hasn’t practiced in any capacity in a month’s time now, and he wasn’t the only player to miss today’s practice with an injury.

Sam Hubbard was seen in a knee brace on Monday. He suffered an apparent knee injury on Sunday and did not practice today because of it. Hubbard has been listed on the injury report this season before, but has yet to miss a game. Hubbard has 16 pressures and five sacks on the year and his absence would surely be felt along the Bengals’ defensive line. This seems to be injury to monitor this week.

Drew Sample (ankle) also did not practice. The rookie tight end has missed the last three games and will likely miss this upcoming one as well.

Geno Atkins, Tyler Eifert, and Darqueze Dennard got their usual Wednesday rest days, but Eifert was apparently limited in practice while Atkins and Dennard did not practice at all. This is the first time a Bengals player has been listed as limited this year with a non-injury designation.

Other limited participants include Cethan Carter (concussion), Shawn Williams (ankle), Brandon Wilson (hand), and Nick Vigil (ankle). Carter missed Sunday’s game but by practicing today, he may be ready to go this week. Williams, Wilson and Vigil all played on Sunday but Vigil was a game-time decision with his ankle injury after not getting in a full practice last week. It’ll be interesting to see if he does practice in full this time around.

The Browns have more injuries to deal with right now. Baker Mayfield (hand/ribs), Odell Beckham Jr. (groin), Jarvis Landry (hip), and Olivier Vernon (knee) were all limited today, but Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens expects Mayfield to play.

Chris Hubbard (knee), JC Tretter (knee) and Eric Murray (knee) each did not practice today.
