Change Can't Weight
During the Marvin Lewis years the Paul Brown Stadium weight room became known by insiders as “The Boiler Room,” poetically capturing the anonymity and importance of the place as the engine setting the team’s pulse. This week Joey Boese took command of the boiler room, where the preface is to be written in new Bengals head coach Zac Taylor’s plan for an everyone-on-the-same-page culture.

Zac Taylor on Adam Schefter's Podcast
The Taylor interview begins at the 3:10 mark of the podcast. Taylor hit on a number of other topics on the podcasts. Here are some highlights:

Random Thoughts: CFB transfers, MLB rule changes and Bengals skepticism
ESPN asks, “Is the era of CFB free agency upon us?” in an interesting story looking at the ramifications of Justin Fields’ being granted immediate eligibility at Ohio State. Marvin Lewis: ESPN's 'NFL Live' welcomes ex-Bengals coach as guest
During his SportsCenter analysis, Lewis revealed that he thinks Kyler Murray can be a franchise quarterback, and offered the following about the Cleveland Browns' signing Monday of Kareem Hunt when asked to compare it to the Bengals drafting Joe Mixon in 2017:

Florida DC Todd Grantham leading candidate to become Bengals DC
Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham is interviewing Tuesday for the Cincinnati Bengals' defensive coordinator job and has emerged as the leading candidate, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Bengals 2019 Mock Draft 5.0
We will take a look at the mock draft performed by Bleacher Report's Matt Miller on Feb. 4 (note: it doesn't include compensatory picks for losing free agents after the 2017 season, and the Bengals will be receiving a few of them):

Kyler Murray’s NFL commitment and what it means for Bengals
Murray, who had his choice between the NFL and major league baseball — the Oakland Athletics drafted him ninth overall last year — made the official announcement Monday:
