Per cincinnati.com, it’s unknown exactly why Jones was arrested. Initially it was reported for drunk and disorderly conduct, but records state that he had an “out of county” warrant.
Unfortunately this is nothing new for Jones, who is 35 years old and coming off his 12th season in the NFL. The former starter had multiple run-ins with the law in Cincinnati in the past, usually because of incidents similar to this. This isn’t even the first casino-related arrest to his name.
Jones was signed by the Denver Broncos just before last season began and was released in late November after playing in seven games. We’re still awaiting the full details of this incident, but this could be the final straw that ends his NFL career, if it wasn’t over already.
